SC 072/13...

"LOVE IS IN THE AIR"

Our challenge over at Sunny Challenges for the next fortnight is to create a card, 3-D project or scrapbook page with the theme of "Love".  With Valentine's Day fast approaching, this is the perfect time to create that something special for that someone special.  Again, we have no sketch to go by, so the field is wide open.

I have a wedding in the next couple of weeks & thought this the perfect opportunity to create a special card for the special couple.  Yep, it is in their colours & theme too!  I love Pink Pirouette & Not Quite Navy together.

I've used the sketch from Technostamper Monday Lunch Challenge to create my card except I turned it on its side.  It has been sometime since I played along with one of Mary Jo's challenges.

My card is a little different in that there is no sign of any hearts or lovey sentiment of any kind. I think that is why it appeals to me that much.  Sometimes it is good to try & create something that is non-traditional.

I also used a sentiment from a great little stamp set in the current "Sale-a-Bration" catalogue, which I thought went really well with my card.  It is a little different than the usual "Congratulations" or "Best Wishes", etc.

To see what the other girls have created, why not head over to Sunny Challenges & check out what Kris & Gwen have created.

Remember you have 2 weeks to create your project, so there is heaps of time.  Post it to your blog or on line group.forum & link back with Mr Linky.  We had a great response last week & selected 2 Rays of Sunshine.  Who knows, you could be our next one.

Until next time, Happy Stampin

How pretty! I love your nontraditional choice of color for this theme of card. So pretty, and that sentiment is perfect! Wonderfully done, thanks so much for playing along with my sketch challenge this week!

Wow...this is just so soft and pretty! I love how you turned the sketch on its side and love how you did the lacy border around your oval! Thanks for joining us for the Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge!

This is really a lovely card. You always have the knack for showing off stamp sets in a way that makes me want them. Congrats on making the Blog Finds of the Day.
