Today's Project...

Hi Friends,
I have been having little plays again & come up with a little pressie for a friend.  I know she doesn't look on here, so am safe to post.

The only part of the project is the stamp set "Just Beachy" from Stampin' Up! but I just love the paper, which I have had sitting in my supplies for about a month now & thought it time it got used.
2010 Calendar

Note Cards

Calendar, Box & Cards

This little calendar is in the shape of a card, but will stand on your desk by itself.  I have used one for years & always make myself one each year.  I also made a lot for little xmas pressies this year.

I have also made little envelopes to match the note cards, but you are unable to see them in the picture.

Enjoy

Crazy4Challenges - # C4C17

Good Morning All,

Well, I have done it again - another challenge!  It is not like I have nothing better to do!  Oh wait!  I don't, as I am in Brissie, but hopefully not for much longer.
Sketch # 13

My Card

Supplies -
Cardstock - Whisper White, Basic Black
Stamp Set - Oval All - Retired
DSP - Urban Oasis
Accessories - Pretties Kit - Pearl & Flower, Sanil Adhesive
Punches - Scallop Oval - Retired, Small Oval, 3/4" Circle

I've embossed the white with my Cuttlebug, which gives it a bit of a different look.  Thought about introducing red into the scheme of things, but kept to the basic black & white!

I am really forcing myself to start using the DSP, but they are just so lovely that I don't want to "hurt" them!
"Urban Oasis"

Until next time - Enjoy

Tutorial...

I have finally managed to do tutorial for the "Rock 'n' Roll" method I used on the butterfly below.

Using 2 ink colours, this technique adds extra dimension to your solid stamped images
 Instructions for Rock ‘n’ Roll

Supplies Required –

Cardstock – Very Vanilla, Punpkin Pie
DSP – Non-SU
Ink – Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip
Stamp Set – Great Friend
Punches – 1 3/8” Circle, 1 ¼” Circle
Accessories - Dazzling Diamonds, 2-Way Glue, Rhinestones – Non-SU, Acetate, Dimensionals

Instructions –
1. Using the Bashful Blue ink pad (lighter colour), ink your image
2. Using your same image, ink the edges with the Chocolate Chip (darker colour) by rolling the edges of the stamp onto the ink pad
3. If done properly, the darker coloured ink should appear around the outer edges of the stamp, while the lighter colour ink will still be showing on the inside
4. Stamp your image onto your cardstock
5. If required, repeat above steps
6. Using scissors, cut around stamped image
7. Complete your project

TIP –
1. Prior to stamping the image onto my card, I will sometimes blow onto the stamp so as to moisten the ink a little. This ensures that this ink is still moist
2. Practice on a scrap piece of cardstock or paper until such time as you are happy with your result

Until next time when I will post instructions for the Note Book!

Baby Baby

Morning World!
I have had to do a mixture of baby tags, so have started off with a couple of very simple tags, using "Forest Friends"
I've made sure that the tags are big enough to write a small message on the inside.  Sometimes, you purchase a small gift tag & there is never enough room to write a message on the inside.

Stamp Set - Forest Friends
Cardstock - Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Pretty-in-Pink
Ink - Bashful Blue, Pretty-in-Pink
Accessories - Gel Pen, Snail Adhesive, Crop-a-Dile

Remember - This stamp set is from the current Spring Mini-Catalogue & finishes at the end of November.  The stamps will not be repeated!

How Cute is This...

How Cute is This Watering can...

What a great item to put a package of lollies, chocolates, etc into for that special pressie.

I have another idea in my head and am going to play with it again tmw & see if I can make a new box from it!

Jenny & I made this on Sunday & of course I couldn't stop saying 'how cute is this..."  I had to pretend to water all her plants - lol

Friends are Forever....

I have been in a real stampin' mood the last couple of days & can't get to the ideas in my head quick enough, before loosing them.  I fnally found my old book of cards which I had started with yonks & yonks ago... so now I have heaps of ideas to take using great new papers, stamps, accessories!  They won't be looking like the ol' cards once I have revamped the sketches, etc.

I have made this card especially for "Miss DEAM" - opps "Mrs".  She will be thinking that I didn't get it when she signed off using the name the other day, but yep Deb, I did!  This is for you & should be receiving it the slow mail.  How long does mail take to get to Port Hedland?

Supplies -
Stamp Set - Eastern Blooms, Great Friend - see post below
Stamp Pads - Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red
Card Stock - Pink Piroutte, Whisper White
DSP - Walk in the Park - Mini-Catalogue - How lovely is this paper?
Punches - Oval, Scallop Oval - Mini-Catalogue
Accessories - Small White Flower - Pretties Kit, Silver Brad, Mini-Glue Dots

Tip  -  I coloured the small flower with Riding Hood Red..

Enjoy
