DSP...

... was used to create our Recipe Swap Page which we did some time ago. 

The recipe come from Naomi's Kitchen & proved very popular with all the ladies who attended.

Scrapbooking....

Yes, I've been scrapbooking yet again.....  This is the page I had in mind when I created the card a couple of days ago using the same DSP.  This is of my aunt & uncle, who are brother & sister.

I selected my colours from the Azaleas in the background.  When I scrapbook, I tend to go with the colours that are not so predominant.  I think it makes for a better page, although everyone is different & scraps differently.

I used the Textured Melon Mambo Cardstock for my base & layered a piece of DSP over the top.  For my photo, I made a border from a piece of Pink Pirouette Cardstock, which was adhered to a piece of Melon Mambo Cardstock.  The whole lot was adhered to the DSP.

I cut a piece of Certainily Celery Satin Ribbon & adhered to the top of the DSP, added a piece of  Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon over the top, punched 3 flowers with the Boho Blosso Punch, 2 in Pink Pirouette & 1 in Melon Mambo.  I adhered these to the top of the Whisper White Ribbon & added a Basic Pearl to the centre of each.

I handwrote my journalling onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock using the Stampin' Write Journaler, adhered to a piece of Melon Mambo Cardstock, then to a piece of Certainily Celerly Cardstock &  to the layout at an angle.

I cut a doiley from the DSP Pack, adhered to the journalling, punched a flower using the Boho Blossom Punch, adhered a Basic Pearl in the centre & lastly adhered to the page.

I've just realised, No Stampin'!!!!!  A very easy page, but one I am quiet happy with!

Inside Card.



I dug out this DSP to create a scrapbook page but instead made a card first up.  I had no idea what I was going to do, but sort of went along with my hands.....



Measurements -

Base Card - Melon Mambo - 8 1/4" x 4 1/8" or 21cm x 10.5cm - Scroed & folded in half

Layer 1 - DSP - 5 5/8" x 2 1/4" or 14cm x 5.5cm

Layer 2 - Pumpkin Pie - 5 5/8 x 1" or 14cm x 2.5cm

Layer 3 - Melon Mambo - 3" x 2 1/2" or 7.5cm x 6.5cm

Layer 4 - Whisper White - 2 7/8" x 2 3/8" or 7cm x 6cm

I punched the piece of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock along one of the longer sides with the Eyelet Edge Border Punch & adhered it to a long side of the DSP.  This piece was then adhered to the Base Card using Snail Adhesive.

I cut a doilley from the DSP & adhered it to the centre of the piece of Whisper White Cardstock.  This was then adhered to the piece of Melon Mambo & then to the Base Card.

I stamped my sentiment onto Whisper White Cardstock, using Wisteria Wonder Ink, punch with the Oval Punch,  punched a piece of Melbon Mambo Cardstock with the Large Oval Punch & a piece in Wisteria Wonder Cardstock with the Scallop Oval Punch.  I layered all 3 pieces on of each other & adhered to the Base Card using Snail Adhesive.

A Basic Pearl was adhered to the centre of the doilley.

A Tissue, A Tissue...

...  I have seen these Tissue Boxes around the blog world & thought it about time I tired my hand at one. 

I created a basic template using Pretty in Pink Cardstock.  After glueing my pieces together, I cut 4 pieces of DSP slightly smaller than the actual box, so that I still had a small edge of coloured Cardstock showing around the edges & adhered to the sides of the box.  I then adhered the final edges together to form the box.

Using the Scallop Trim Border, I punched along one edge of a strip of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock & adhered to the bottom of the box.

I cut a round circle in the top of the lid with my Bigshot & Circles Die, cut & adhered to form the top & sponged around the top edge & circle with Pretty in Pink Ink & a sponge. 

I again punched a strip of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, punched along one side with the Scallop Trim Border Punch & adhered to along the bottom of the lid.  I adhered Brown ribbon over the top of the border going right around the lid.  I tied a double bow off to one side to finish the top off.

I adhered another piece of the same ribbon - a little narrower - around the middle of the box, cut 2 each of the same lace DSP, adhered them to the middle of the ribbon on all 4 sides using a Mini-Glue Dot & applied a Basic Pearl in the middle of each doiley.

One for a Challenge...

... but too late.

I created this card for a challenge which didn't make the deadline, but not too worry.  The challenge called for a clean & simple (CAS) card & as I had my embossing stuff out, thought I would do a little embossing.  I also dug out one of my favourite stamps & dusted the dust off of it.

Base Card - Poppy Parade - 5 7/8" x 4 1/8" or 15cm x 10.5cm - once scored & folded in half
Layer 1 - Whisper White - 5 3/4" x 4" or 14.5cm x 10cm
Layer 2 - Wild Wasabi - 4" x 1" or 10cm x 2.5cm
Layer 3 - DSP - 4" x 1 1/2" or 10cm x 4cm
Layer 4 - Blushing Bride - 3 5/8" x 2 1/2" or 9cm x 6cm
Layer 5 - Crumb Cake - 3 1/2" x 2 3/8" or 8.5cm x 5.5cm

Using the Eyelet Border Punch, I punched along one longer side of Wild Wasabi Cardstock & adhered to the LHS of Whisper White Cardstock.  The DSP strip of paper was adhered over the top of the punched edge.  The whole piece was then adhered to the Base Card using Snail Adhesive.



Inside...

I rubbed my Embossing Buddy over the piece of Crumb Cake, stamped my image with Versamark, poured White Embossing Powder over the top, tapped excess powder from the cardstock & set it using my Heat Tool.  This piece was the adhered to the piece of Blushing Bride & finally to the Base Card.

My flowers are from my stack I have in a drawer, they could be SU or they may not be.  I do know that I had dyed a couple of flowers sometime ago using Re-Inkers.  So being a little lazy & not wanting to hunt for my flowers, I used the first couple I laid my hands on.  I adhered the white flower to the smaller of the pink flowers & stuck a Pink Rhinestone in the middle.  Again, the rhinestone was from a stash I have on hand for my wedding invitations.

For my sentiment, I stamped it onto a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock using Wild Wasabi Ink & punched the centre out with my 1" Circle Punch.  I adhered this to the centre of the large flower using SU Dimensionals.  Both flowers were adhered to the card with SU Dimensionals with the larger flower at the front.

Anyone for Embossing?  Heat Embossing, ie.  Yep, another week & another new challenge over at Sunny Challenges & Creations

As well as the sketch provided, I thought it would be a great opportunity to dig out those Heat Tools & to do a little Heat Embossing.  How long is it since you have used your Heat Gun?  I know it has been some time for me.  With all the new products coming out from Stampin' Up!, we seem to forget about our favourites sometimes.

Base Card - Pumpkin Pie - 5 7/8" x 4 1/8" or 15cm x 10.5cm - once scored & folded in half
Layer 1 - Early Expresso - 5 3/4" x 4" or 14.5cm x 10cm

I adhered the DSP to piece of Early Expresso using Snail Adhesive & set aside.

I rubbed my Embossing Buddy over both pieces of Whisper White Cardstock, stamped my image using first Versamark, then Early Expresso Ink, stamped direct onto the longer piece of Whisper White Cardstock, poured Clear Embossing Powder over the top & heat set with my Heat Tool.  I adhered this piece to the longer piece of Early Expresso Cardstock.

I inked my image in Early Expresso Ink, stamped off onto a scrap of paper & then around the edges of the small piece of Whisper White Cardstock, before embossing my greeting/sentiment in Early Expresso Ink.  This piece was adhered to another smaller piece of Early Expresso Cardstock.

I adhered a piece of Satin Ribbon along the bottom half of the longer embossed Whisper White piece, adhered to DSP, then to the base card, tied a double bow, attached a Flower Brad & a Basic Pearl to the centre.

The sentiment cardstock piece was adhered across the top using Snail Adhesive & SU Dimensionals.

Basic Pearls were applied randomly over the embossed images.
