Another...

G'day Stampers,
I've been playing with Abode & think I am finally getting somewhere with the program.  I suppose it helps to have the book, but hey, who reads those things!  I still have a litte way to go, but....
I've used "Wagon Full of Fun" - Mini-Catalogue - again.  I may have said it previously, but this set has so much potential.....
A great little set if you are new to Stampin’ Up!® and not sure what set to begin with.
I didn't start out making a baby card, but am happy with the end result.  You decide for yourselves!

# 2.....

G'day Stampers,
Well I have managed to return to post the card I finished to match the box posted earlier.
This time I tempeted a "Hinged Card".  I have never made one of these.  Seen heaps of them, so took it on board & did my version of it.  I do know there are instructions out there in Blog Land, but I wanted to show the edge around the top, so put my head down & went in blind.

I've just realised that the lid in the close up of the box is not sitting straight, so please excuse that!
I've used the little cupcake from Short & Sweet & stamped along all sides of the box.
Until tmw when I will post another different card or project

I'm Back...

G'Day Stampers,
Well, I am back & hopefully to post more frequently than I have been.  Once out of the routine, it takes a bit to get back again.
I've used a set from the current SU mini-catalogue & believe me, this stamp set has heaps of potential.  Check the mini at the right hand side to place an order!  Since seeing this set, I have had an image in my mind of doing this project, just required the occasion!
I am in the middle of making a matching card but wanted to post the box first.  I have made this for a birthday and want to fill the box with lots of goodies, ie lollies.  What kid doesn't like lollies?

'ello, 'ello...

Hello Fellow Stampers,

I sat myself down this morning to &amp & come up with a male card, but looking at it, you could use it for either male or female.  Combined with the great little stamp set "Hello Again" from Stampin' Up's current Mini-Catalogue & a FREE Stamp Set "Whimiscal Words"  from Stampin' Up's Sale-a-Bration catalogue, this makes for a great card!
I've really gone out of my comfort zone here, but check it out for yourselves -

Supplies -
Stamp Set - Hello Again, Whimiscal Words
SU Write Markers - Only Orange,Garden Green, Basic Black
Card Stock - Very Vanilla, Going Gray, Garden Green, Night of Navy
DSP - Kiwi Kiss Patterns
Accessories - Anywhere Glue, Crystal Effects
Non-SU - Buttons

To use the different colours for the flower, I've gone with Stampin' Up's Write Markers.  These are great for when you want to individually colour your image.
To bring the whole card together, I've opted for a coloured button.
Only because I couldn't find my Linen Thread, I've cut a very fine piece of Very Vanilla card stock & threaded it threw the button.
To adhere the button to the middle of the flower & to hold the thin strip of Very Vanilla card stock in place I've used SU's Crystal Effects.
For the greeting, I've used SU Black Marker to colour the word "Wish".  See the RHS to see how to earn your own FREE set!
If you have any queries on how to make this card or any supplies I've used, please email me as I am only to happy to answer them for you.
Enjoy!

2nd Post...

I've just downloaded my photos from the "Crafty Creations" class yesterday.
I teach crafts at the local community centre on a Friday arvo & LOVE it!  The ladies are so lovely & full of mischief, therefore they keep me on my toes.
Althhough the supplies are not Stampin' Up!, I thought the group rated a mention, bearing in mind that not all have ever created a card.  The cards looked so lovely - they should all be very proud of themselves....
In this class we did the technique - Heat Embossing -
They loved it & as a result -
I  have an original I've made or as I call it "Master Plan" to copy from if they so wish, but usually with the kits I make up - Friday mornings & in a panic - the ladies just create their own thing, while I ensusre they are helped and taught how to do this or that which may be relevant to their card.
It is a great, fun class, so if you are in the area and have nothing to do, come along for a bit of fun.
Fridays - 12.30 - 2.00pm (except public holidays)
Cost - Gold Coin Donation
Enjoy

Wedding Card....

Hi Stampers,

As I've just completed an Invitation Package & as part of my "Thank You" to my Customers, I design a Congratulations card.  I usually make the cards in the colours of their invitations and very similar to their designs, etc.
I knew I wanted to use Stampin' Up!'s "Always" Stamp Set, and am very happy with the outcome.

Hello Again....

Hello Again....
How many of us say this greeting without realising it!  Well I've just used that exact stamp set from the NEW SU Summer Mini Catalogue.  This time, I've created a couple of small note cards which I am making for a friend to use as quick notes....
Here goes...
Side On...
Supplies -
Stamp Set - Hello Again
Card Stock - Blue Pacific, Very Vanilla
Ink - Kiwi Kiss, Blue Pacific
Accessories - Anywhere Glue Stick, Crystal Effects, Stampin' Write Markers - Bold Brights
Non-SU - Embossing Folders

I cut around the butterfly, including cutting off it's anntenna and adhered body to card uing "Crystal Effects".  I then used the "Stampin' Write Markers", to draw antennas on again.
Saves heaps of time trying to cut around those tricky little things!

This Stamp Set "Hello Again" even comes with a matching Whell - "Retro Remix".
I am going to use both the stamp set & wheel for our next Scrapbook meting
These run on Friday Nights from 7.30 - 10.30 on the last Friday of the Month.
if you would like to attend, please me for the details!
Enjoy

Pink, Pink & More Pink...

I am trying very hard to get back into the swing of things, but it is not working that great.  Please bear with me for the next couple of months or so............

I received a couple of little stamp sets today & so of course I had to have a little play & did a very simple easy 5 minute card to show you this lovely lovely SU greeting!  Best of all, it is FREE from SU when you spend over $100! Not hard to do.
Get in and earn your FREE stamp sets while Sale-a-Bration is on!

Stamp Set - Whimiscal Words
Card Stock - Whisper White, Pink Pirouette
Stamp Pads - Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette
DSP - Pink Pirouette
Accessories - Anywhere Glue, SU Pastels, SU Sponges
Non-SU - Embossing Folder

Have I told you lately how much I love the new SU Series Designer Series Paper, Page 135.  Just in case you missed it, I love working with this paper!  No matter what you make, this DSP always comes up looking so fresh & pretty!
I've stamped the Greeting in "Riding Hood Red", torn "Whisper White", ensuring that I leave a small edge.  I then sponged "Pretty-in-Pink" from the "SU Pastels" to add a bit of hightlight to the torn edge.
Enjoy!

Rain, Rain....

G'Day Fellow Stampers,
It is a while since posting, but have not been too well.  Never mind, I have a small project which I ended up obtaining a pattern off SU Demo Pattern Area - great thing about being a Demo, we have patterns at our finger tips!
I have altered it a little to suit what I wanted it for -

Close-Up -

Supplies -
Cardstock - Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
DSP - Retired
Ink - Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie
Stamp Set - Great Friends
Ribbons - Grosgrain Old Olive - 6mm & 1"
Accessories - Anywhere Glue Stick, 1/8" Handheld Punch, SU Dimensionals,

I've used SU Felt Flowers - Flower Fusion.  These are great!  I didn't like them at first, but now I just want to keep using them until such time as they are all gone - another order in site.
For a little something different I've used 2 pieces of SU Grosgrain Old Olive Ribbon for a handle.  Adds a little something extra - don't you think?
Until tmw
